About Workers’ Compensation

A workplace injury can threaten your health and your livelihood at the same time. We guide injured workers through the workers’ compensation system, making sure claims are filed correctly, benefits are paid in full, and employers and carriers are held to their legal obligations.

If your claim has been denied or your benefits cut off, our trial attorneys are ready to fight for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

When must I report a workplace injury?

Report it to your employer immediately — within 30 days in Florida, Georgia and New York, and sooner is always better. Late reporting is the most common reason benefits are denied.

Can I be fired for filing a workers' comp claim?

Retaliation for filing a claim is illegal. If you were disciplined, demoted or terminated after reporting an injury, tell us — you may have an additional claim.

What benefits does workers' compensation pay?

Medical treatment for the injury, a portion of lost wages while you cannot work, and compensation for lasting impairment. We make sure nothing is left off the table.

Can I also sue someone besides my employer?

Often yes. If a third party — a driver, contractor, or equipment maker — contributed to your injury, a separate lawsuit can recover damages workers' comp does not cover.
